About Dr. Elizabeth Brondolo

Dr. Brondolo received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Rutgers University in 1989 and completed her internship training at Montefiore
Medical Center. She is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at St. John’s University and is the Director of the Social Stress
and Health Research Unit at St. John’s University. She has published extensively on the effects of stress and interpersonal conflict
on health, and her work has been featured in the New York Times and on Dateline NBC, as well as in other media venues. Dr. Brondolo
is also a member of the professional staff at the Jamaica Hospital Department of Family Medicine and Ambulatory Care. For more information

Dr. Brondolo has been a practicing psychologist in New York City
for more than fifteen years. She supervises clinicians in training at the St. John’s University Center for Psychological Services,
and has conducted numerous clinical training workshops for beginning and senior therapists. She has served as a consultant to the
United Nations, the New York City Police Department, and other agencies.
Her recent book, written with colleague Xavier Amador, Ph.D.,
is entitled “Break the Bipolar Cycle: A day-to-day guide to living with Bipolar Disorder”. The book is a practical guide for patients
and their families, providing up-to-date information on the neurobiology of bipolar spectrum disorders as well as specific suggestions
